MEET THE TRAINERS

Alyxandra McKenna is a certified trainer through Paramount Dog Training, Associate Member of the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP) and founder of Align K9 Training.

Alyx has always had a natural ability to understand dog behavior and believes helping restore alignment to dogs and owners is her life’s purpose. She started fostering seven years ago to help overflowing local rescues and quickly learned how important basic obedience is to canines. Even the happiest-go-lucky dogs were benefiting from routine and simple training sessions. And of course, dogs that were very unbalanced, quickly found balance through obedience work. She also noticed that most people did not seek out professional training until their dog was out of alignment or balance.

Alyx's mission is to bring light to this: start training from day 1 to establish a solid relationship and prevent future problems, rather than waiting until a problem arises. Training isn’t just for “problem” dogs. Dogs out of alignment need training, but every dog deserves it!

She has had the privilege of working with all kinds of breeds, ages and temperaments through fostering and working as a dog walker with a Cleveland-area company. She decided to further her education for dog behavior by completing Paramount’s dog trainer certification course in May 2020. She loves being able to help people better understand their dog and create an amazing bond that will last a lifetime!

Meet the Trainer

"Alyxandra is truly great at what she does. Not only is she responsive and professional, but she truly cares about your dogs. She’s great at training the dogs but was also great at providing me and my husband with the information we needed to train our dogs on our own. She’s a great trainer and knows her stuff. Highly recommended."   - Jessica Napka

He also helps with the general operations of Align K9 Training.

MALLORY

Mallory began formally training in the Align K9 internship program but already had a great foundation from training her own two dogs Zane and Zora. She is a natural canine handler. Mallory has had a passion for animals since before she could walk and is glad she can use her love for dogs to help owners create a happy, healthy relationship with their beloved pets. She will be helping take over a lot of the puppy and basic on and off-leash clients as well as helping with behavior modification cases. She makes an amazing addition to the team. We are grateful to have her!
